I traveled out to Indiana and Kentucky recently to see the hubster as he is out running a new show for TLC (it’s a secret currently) and to shoot behind the scenes for the network.
During my down time I would just drive around aimlessly to see what I could see and I stumbled into Newburg.
It was INSTANT love. This quiet little town is located right along the Ohio river and is a small suburb outside of Evansville.
Beautifully manicured lawns with beautifully painted homes with beautifully fashioned families. It is straight out of a Hallmark movie - not kidding one bit.
Anyway, I snapped a few pics and spent most of my time sitting on a lovely bench along the river with my toes in the grass and daydreamed about how Gary and I would retire there and I’d open a little photography studio, he run the restaurant/bar with the beautiful view and we would join the many other people who were out strolling the walking path each evening. Then Gary would run for mayor, Kait would move out and open a coffee shop and Jake would just fish all the time while welding some creative fishing art of some sort, lol.
I have it all planned out, you see?
One of the things I fell in love with were all the super inviting doors there. They stood out to me so much that that became the focus of my attention.
Seriously, it was a tiny slice of heaven. I should have taken more pics - but it was one of the few times that I was just enjoying myself too much in the moment, so you get what you get and you’ll like it dammit ;)
